I have started to consider what books I plan to read next year, and I really enjoy planning in general. So what I’ve done is compile a list of book challenges that I have considered and explain some of my own reading goals for the year. Some challenges include A-Z by Author’s Name or A-Z by Book Title or Books represented by all 52 countries, or you can follow along with one of these challenges. There are so many options!

I plan to make a separate list of the prompts that I find interesting with books that I plan on reading in 2021. And then I’ll make some kind of drawing system either with sticky notes in a bowl or one of those really fancy online wheel thing. https://wheelofnames.com/
I’m this kind of person, though. I like to plan but have a little flexibility.
I have set myself a goal of 50 books in a year. Last year I set myself to read 2 books a month, and I achieved it plus some. I was going to jump to 100 books, but that’s 8-9 books per month. I feel like I have a really good system set up for reading, but in my best month (October), I read 7 books. I don’t want to stress about meeting a specific number, so I will gradually get my numbers higher. The last thing I want to do is turn an activity that relaxes me into one that will bring me stress.
How many books do you want to read in 2021?
